I recently came across the Eye Floaters Removal System while I was looking for more information related to eye floaters. I will try to review this product in detail. First of all, at $39 I find it a little pricey. I know most books cost around that price, but for an e-book it should definitely be lower.

The e-book is around 60 pages long and talks exclusively about eye floaters. There were many “A-Ha” moments while I was reading the book as I realized several things about eye floaters that I hadn’t read anywhere else. The book itself is very well written and mostly to the point. It includes several approaches to help you remove eye floaters, even some related to Chinese medicine!

Although I have only started employing some of the methods for a few weeks, I can definitely see an improvement. The Floaters Prevention chapter itself is worth the price of the book – I, being a young and daring person, didn’t know that bungee jumping or other forms of extreme sports can cause retinal detachment and/or eye floaters. I also care very much for my eyes now and they just keep getting better.

Overall I would rate this e-book a 9/10, only for the high price, because otherwise it does contain everything you need to know about eye floaters.

I have found two new treatments for eye floaters. Although they are still in the testing stage, there is hope that these treatments will become a reality in the near future.

The first treatment involves the use of magnets. Eye floaters will be supposedly attracted to them and a specialized doctor can easily take the floaters away from the line of vision. There is no pain/surgery involved and this method could get rid of most eye floaters within a few minutes.

The second treatment involves the insertion of an instrument inside the eye that will grab the eye floaters one by one and remove them. Although this method seems painful, it’s promising as it can actually remove the eye floaters and not only move them away from the field of vision.

Eye floaters per se are not dangerous. The danger of having eye floaters resides in the root cause. What caused your eye floaters? Is a question you should be asking yourself in order to determine whether your vision might be at risk. If you haven’t already visited an eye specialist, do so at once.

For example, if your eye floaters were caused by the natural aging of the vitreous, then you might have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, eye floaters might be a sign of retinal detachment which is an eye emergency that has to be treated immediately. Knowing the cause of your eye floaters is imperative to assure your long term eye health.

There are two situations in which eye floaters can be dangerous. If your eye floaters are big enough, they could distract you during your day to day activities. This can be dangerous as it could provoke accidents during driving or other activities where vision is necessary. Big floaters can also pull on the retina. This can cause a retinal detachment, although this is very rare.

To help you cure your floaters I recommend visiting Floaters in the Eye.

Why and How are Eye Floaters Formed?

The reason we see eye floaters, is because of an anomaly in the eye. Eye floaters are precisely caused because of the vitreous humor which produces fluids as we get older. The vitreous humor undergoes changes such as forming of liquids in the vitreous gel. The gel is known as vitreous synereis. This difference between the gel and liquid is what creates the eye floaters. These floaters are also formed when collagen fibers that are found within the vitreous become swelled up and become intense. Normally, people 50 and above undergo changes within their eyes. The increments of eye floaters be it major or minor are different among people.

The vitreous changes with age and the jelly like area within the vitreous also starts to contract. This contraction results in moving forward the back side of the vitreous. The vitreous is actually joined with the optical nerve around the edges. So, when the vitreous contracts the optical nerve may get detached and becomes suspended in the eye which generally causes floaters. Most of the floaters are large and are circular in profile. Also, as the back side of the vitreous floats in the eye it creates shades in the retina and is an example of how eye floaters are produced. This contraction and detachment of the rear of vitreous is known as posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) or posterior vitreous division. This defers from retinal disconnection. A research shows that around fifty percent of the folks who are over 65 years of age will have the PVD defect in both of their eyes. If someone develops PVD in one eye, he will likely have the same in the other eye in the next eighteen months.

Apart from vitreous syneresis and PVD which are the most common ailments that can create eye floaters, there are certain other numerous irregularities which can result in the formation of eye floaters. Eye floaters can also be caused by cellular substances. Other causes include hemorrhage of the vitreous and swelling of the cellular substance that can result in eye floaters. Hemorrhage can be caused due to some wound or injury to the retinal area. Eye floaters can also develop when an eye surgery goes wrong. Swelling most commonly occurs due to infections and eye surgery.

Reasons for Seeing Eye Floaters

Most of the people have visions of eye floaters due to the structure of our eye. The human eye has the cornea and the lens which are located at the front of the eye; both the cornea and the lens are focusing mechanisms which direct the light onto our retina. This helps our eyes to see. The light after coming through the retina goes vitreous humor, it’s a substance which resembles a jelly and takes up two thirds of the area at the back of the eye. As we grow older the vitreous gel becomes clogged with different kinds of fluids and creates different shadows on the retina. These shadows in turn create eye floaters. When the eye moves, these shadows also move making them float on the surface.
